
The fourteenth edition of Persian Poetry Night, organized by the Farsi Action Foundation in Britain, was held on Sunday, July 26, at the Aga Khan University Hall in London. The event featured the launch of the novel ((Goristan Sare Tappeh )) written by Roein Rahnoush, an author, poet, and journalist. The gathering was attended by a number of writers, poets, university professors, and enthusiasts of the Persian language and literature.
The ceremony opened with welcoming remarks by Dadkhoda Dagi, a professor at Aga Khan University, while Diana Bina served as the event host. During the book introduction session, Roein Rahnoush, together with Siamak Heravi, Sanaz Eqtesadyneya, and Abdullah Elham, discussed the novel (Goristan Saretappeh), its writing process, and the place of contemporary Persian fiction in today's literary landscape.
The artistic segment of the program featured Mehri Zomorodnia and her ensemble, who performed selections of traditional Iranian music.
The second half of the event was dedicated to poetry readings and was moderated by Zhaleh Zafari and Soudabeh Kamrava. In this session, poet and author Bashir Sakhavarz delivered a brief speech on the significance of poetry in Persian culture. He was followed by poets and writers from across the Persian-speaking cultural sphere, including Reza Mohammadi (Rouzbehan) and Haroon Yousofi from Afghanistan, Sepehr Qanbari from Iran, Ehsan Zarvan from Tajikistan, and Farrokh Yuldash from Uzbekistan, who read selections of their work to the audience.
The event concluded with further performances of traditional music. The organizers emphasized the importance of continuing cultural cooperation among Persian-speaking communities and preserving the Persian language and its rich literary heritage
