Cultural Heritage Preservation and Supporting Education in Afghanistan
At the heart of our essence lies the preservation of Persian culture and heritage, complemented by our unwavering commitment to education. Our calendar is filled with a diverse array of events and activities, from enchanting poetry recitals to vibrant traditional celebrations, spirited folk dancing, and engaging seminars. These collective efforts serve as a bridge, carrying the treasures of our heritage forward while empowering individuals through education. We extend a helping hand to school students and graduates in the remote corners of Afghanistan by establishing cultural centres and libraries in underserved areas, broadening access to educational resources and creating pathways to opportunity.
Bringing Community Together
We are actively working to unite the community and address key issues such as domestic violence, anti-social behaviour, social isolation, and women's empowerment. Through the organization of workshops, women’s and youth clubs, sports activities, poetry nights, and psychological sessions focused on positive parenting, we aim to foster a supportive and inclusive environment. These initiatives are designed to strengthen community ties, promote individual well-being, and empower women and youth to lead more fulfilling lives.
Support and In-Person Guidance
Beyond our helpline, we extend a warm invitation for individuals to join us at our office and cultural centre in the heart of Uxbridge, London. Here, we create a nurturing atmosphere where every visitor is embraced, valued, and given the opportunity to receive personalised advice and in-person support.
Farsi Action Foundation Helpline
Our Helpline serves as a vital resource for those in need of advice and assistance. We offer support in Persian/Farsi and English, providing information on welfare and finance matters, empowering individuals to navigate challenging situations.
Assisting Immigrants and Refugees
We are committed to providing comprehensive support to newly arrived immigrants and refugees, helping facilitate their smooth integration into society. Our initiative includes offering essential information on the fundamental rules and regulations in the UK, including equality, human rights, and education and employment rights for both adults and children. Additionally, we will provide English language instruction through ESOL courses and guide them towards opportunities in education and employment, empowering them to navigate their new environment successfully.
Mental Health Issues
Addressing mental health issues is a critical priority for the well-being of our community and the sustainability of our healthcare system. To tackle this challenge, we plan to organize psychological sessions and mental health awareness workshops through collaborative efforts with relevant agencies and organizations. This initiative aims to reduce mental health problems within the community, foster a healthier environment, and provide much-needed support to our healthcare infrastructure.
