On the fourth anniversary of the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, the Farsi Action Foundation has remained actively engaged in addressing the ongoing crisis. Over the past four years, we have participated in conferences, seminars, and meetings with key Afghan and international stakeholders, including members of the Afghan diaspora, to discuss the profound impacts of the situation both regionally and globally.
We have also submitted detailed recommendations to policymakers, politicians, and international organisations involved in efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to Afghanistan’s challenges. We continue to emphasize that the continuation of the current situation poses serious risks not only to the Afghan people but also to regional stability, global security, and the broader values of democracy and human rights. The prolonged suppression of these principles undermines the credibility of the international community and diminishes public faith in the commitment of civilised nations to protect fundamental freedoms.
Of particular concern is the state of Afghanistan’s education system and the systematic exclusion of women from all sectors of society. These policies threaten to produce a generation with limited opportunities, a growing educational gap, and a heightened risk of radicalisation. The consequences will be long-lasting, affecting both the country’s social cohesion and its economic and political development.
We strongly believe that a peaceful, negotiated solution—facilitated by the international community and inclusive of all Afghan stakeholders—is urgently needed. Such an approach would benefit the people of Afghanistan, contribute to regional stability, and strengthen international peace efforts.
